Lacrosse was named the Medicine Game because it was used to heal and lift the spirits of members of the community. Today, we play to honor those who came before us.

From stories about the first game played among the animals to the ongoing practice of holding medicine games to heal the sick, lacrosse is much more than a game for the Native Americans.
